How We Deliver: Our 7-Stage Approach

Exceed follows a 7-stage approach on the road to Performance Excellence. Our level of involvement changes throughout the stages and is most intense in the assess, enrol, and implementation stages. We define our exit strategy upfront and ensure that, as we round off our involvement, there is a transition stage during which we transfer the roles and responsibilities of the Performance Coach to internally appointed ‘support champions’ within your organisation.

This transfer of knowledge ensures that the gains made and changes realised are sustained after Exceed leaves. It also ensures that Performance Improvement doesn’t stop there, but becomes ”the way we work” in this organisation. As measurement is a key pillar of the Exceed approach, we support your on-going Performance Improvement efforts through regular quarterly health checks.

The 7 stages of the Performance Improvement process follow an approach similar to project management, starting with an upfront exploration and assessment, enrolling your leadership team and staff, co-designing the plan through to implementing the plan and, finally, transferring responsibilities and moving to a post-project support role.

Our clients always remain in control and each project has clearly defined gates where the client makes the Go / No Go decisions. Assessments are not always immediately followed with a project supported by Exceed coaches as the assessment will define whether the culture, systems and technology are stable and the timing is right for a performance improvement project. The assessment objectively identifies quick early wins, which - if implemented - will return value in excess of the assessment investment
