iVision: a Visual Knowledge Library

Under the motto "Look, Listen, Learn", iVision is an innovative solution that uses video learning to capture and communicate key HSE opportunities, operations, and non-routine drilling and completion activities.

The iVision library is subsequently used to induct new arrivals, assist in pre-job planning, communicate across language barriers, transfer of best practice, and to accelerate the learning curve of new arrivals.

Recent research proves that a combination of video learning and training provides most effective knowledge transfer:

The captured footage is professionally edited into a library of short video clips, complete with voice over, subtitling and other means to emphasise key learning points and safety messages. The library is made available to the rig team as a centrally accessed and codified operations / HSE management system.
