PACE : Transition and Self Assessment Stages

Building internal capability process begins day 1 of the implementation. Additionally, there is a formal transition process which takes place at the end of our on site coaching implementation. Our goal is to leave the organization with a self-sustaining Performance Improvement culture where individuals understand, own and champion an on-going process of improvement long after the Exceed coach exits.
Transition ensures leaders and employees have the necessary knowledge, tools and skills for continued implementation of Exceed’s PACE performance improvement model. During this phase, particular emphasis is paid to providing the client with all necessary post-project support materials, and identifying champions and internal coaches whose role will be to support the organisation’s ongoing performance improvement efforts.
The Transition process comprises:
- Self Appraisal checklist: A PACE ‘heath check’ self-audit outlines the key activities required for PACE sustainability. The checklist is broken down into the four components of Exceed’s PACE model measuring the status of; a clear Performance Focus, strong Accountability for results, a Collaborative approach empowering people and developing effective leaders throughout the organization.
- Leadership Assessment: PACE relies on strong leadership to engage employees and use data-based decision making to continually improve results. Exceed will leave the organization with strengths and development opportunities for each level of the management and supervisory staff. An agreed upon leadership improvement plan will be confidential between supervisor and subordinate.
- KRA and KPI checklist: A matrix showing the KPIs that drive bottom line results, including how the information is used for feedback and decision making, will be developed for each level of management to enable periodic follow up.
PACE Transition Deliverables:
- A final organisational assessment and action plan of key opportunities for further development
- Leadership assessment and a competency development plan
- Identification of potential in-house champions or coaches
- A clear plan and schedule for the client to use the PACE self appraisal checklist to sustain their CPI process
- A plan to provide future client support as required including PACE health checks and PACE training for new leadership and supervision
