Our approach to Technical Limit

We distinguish between the Engineering Technical Limit, which requires involvement from point zero, and the Operational Technical Limit, which focuses on what is possible based on the given technology, the given people resources, and the given process. Technical Limit methodology is applicable to any project where there is room to improve.

Plan execution is measured against the Technical Limit set by the team. Actual performance is measured in the same rigorous detail as the pre-project data analysis. Comparing actual performance to expected performance forms the basis for observations which are documented as part of the continuous improvement process.

Learning is fundamental to achieving continuous improvement. Most of the learning takes place during plan execution and is captured in the form of lessons learnt. These lessons are captured using Exceed's Performance & Learning Tracker and / or using the client's existing Knowledge Management system.
